Right after laying down new topsoil, and then new seed, and then peat moss, and then starter fertilizer, and then winterizing fertilizer, Dan was pretty sure that he had accomplished absolutely nothing. But a few weeks later, after compulsive twice-daily watering, little baby grass sprung up (not shown in this photo...). Seeds actually turn into plants! Incredible!
